What you should know about Asymmetric Tires is, that they can be mounted inside out. That's not a good thing and if your tires are mounted inside out then you must turn them right side out.
Asymmetric tires were clearly marked OUTSIDE on the side facing out and on the other side (facing inwards) it is marked INSIDE. The design of the tire tread is to improve cornering grip and steering stability, provided it is fitted correctly. Tire manfacturers mix tread patterns or put more rubber on one side of the tread than the other in an effort to make one tire out of two different tread patterns. This combination improves traction and directional stability.
